Located in Richmond, only a stone’s throw away from the Yarra River and Hawthorn, the Royston Hotel is a modern, cozy and welcoming local pub.

The charming front bar features a horseshoe shaped counter jutting into the center of the room. There are 5 permanent taps and 8 rotating guests taps including one hand pump, all of which feature a diverse range of Australian and International craft beers.
Recycled timber tables, bentwood chairs and warm tones make for a cosy and atmospheric dining room. You'll be looked after by one of our wait staff, who are knowledgeable and attentive but always friendly and keen to ensure that you enjoy your visit to The Royston.
Adjacent to the front bar, our intimate pool room is the perfect space for some friendly competition. It also doubles as a tasting room for our special beer nights. See our events section for more information.
The Royston menu is based on the premise of good pub fare, done well. While we believe it is important to produce classic pub meals, we like to also provide more modern and interesting dishes as well, including a good range of vegetarian and gluten free dishes.
The food offering is the same throughout the pub. This means you can choose anything from the menu in the more casual atmosphere of the front bar, or make a booking in our cosy Dining Room.
The menu changes regularly, making the most of seasonal produce, and keeping it interesting.
Way back when the Australian craft beer movement was in it's infancy, The Royston was the first pub in Melbourne to feature only craft beer on tap.
The front bar features 5 permanent taps and 8 rotating guest taps including our Hand Pump, which we use to bring out the best in dark, malty or English- style ales.
